Brand Foundation Proposal
Brand Architecture, Creative Direction & Content
A brand foundation project: define the house Jennie lives in, build on her existing look and carry it across every channel, then stand up the production system to launch her, win CES, and keep the momentum going.
From pieces to a brand.
The Mission
Make the human–animal bond available to everyone. Jennie brings comfort and companionship to people living with dementia, autism, PTSD, and anxiety — and to the people who care for them.
Today
There's a lot to build on: a strong product, a clear mission, and brand and content work already in motion. What's missing is the connective tissue that makes it all read as one brand — and it needs to come together fast, with the site, pre-orders, and CES all close.
The Opportunity
Bring the pieces together into one brand — a foundation the launch, CES, and everything after are built on, and one that holds as Tombot grows beyond Jennie.
Foundation — Framework, Voice & Visuals
The framework and the look get built together, in parallel — the site is up the week of 10/8, so there's no time to do one and then the other. Starting from what Holly has already built, we push and tweak those pieces into a proper brand: the framework filled in, and three creative directions developed and shown first on the website. Whichever you choose becomes the system every channel and everything after is built from.
Running underneath: a branded house (Apple) or a house of brands (Mattel)? Is Jennie the flagship — or the first of many products that each earn their own identity? And where do Tom, Tombot, and Jennie sit relative to one another?
- Build the foundationWork with Erin to define who Tombot and Jennie are, and where they're headed. Determine which questions still need answering, using available data or additional research.
- Fill in the brand frameworkPurpose, audience, positioning, pillars, personality, and the language Jennie owns.
- Map the relationshipPlace Tom / Tombot / Jennie: parent, endorser, or standalone.
- Channel & social architectureDoes Jennie get her own handles and voice? Where does Tom show up, and where doesn't he?
- Rules for what's nextHow a future product enters the house without forcing a rebrand.
- Three creative directionsTaking Holly's existing pieces and pushing them into a brand that can carry the launch — three directions, each with a tagline, a color direction, the design elements to lean on, and a homepage design plus one channel extension.
- You choose oneWe develop it into the creative system — a direction guide and a starter channel toolkit, built with Holly so she can run with it.
- Homepage & site architectureThe homepage designed for the 10/8 site and built to work as the template for the pages that follow; the structure behind the curtain worked through with Jeannie & Ryan.

Ongoing Support
Two sides of the creative world that keep the system alive once launch is behind us. Creative is an ongoing retainer; content is a clear menu you draw from, shoot by shoot. Both pick up after CES, when the launch push hands off to an ongoing rhythm. We'd be thrilled to keep partnering with you as we share Jennie with the world.
Art direction for every shoot, campaign creative and template extensions, and design hours where they're needed — holding the creative direction consistent across every team and vendor, with Holly executing and extending it day to day. As Jennie grows — new audiences, new products, new moments — we stay on to shape campaign and brand strategy so the foundation keeps up with where the company is going.
Content between big productions is scoped shoot by shoot, at the production level the work calls for — the same tiers as any Studio in Common production. Choose the level, add pre-production and editorial.
| Level | For | Crew | Per day |
|---|---|---|---|
| Run & gun | Quick single-shooter coverage — an event, a moment | DP | $2,000 |
| Tier 2 | Contained shoot, one location — in-office, a lifestyle setup | DP, assistant, equipment | $3,750 |
| Tier 1 | Campaign scale — casting, location, stills + motion | DP, photographer, 2 assistants, digi tech, producer, equipment | ~$11,000 |
- Pre-production — $1,500 / day
- Editorial — $200 up to :30, $300 up to :60 (one round of notes)
- Locations, permits, insurance and talent — billed at cost
Everything on one page.
The Q4 subtotal is a floor: the Launch Content Library adds editorial and locations on top, and CES expenses (~$9,750) are billed at cost.

A small studio with big-brand chops.
We're a full-service creative studio — strategy, content, and creative direction under one roof, minus the agency baggage. Built as a collective, we pull in exactly who a project needs, when it needs them: a strategist to sharpen the thinking, a DP and editor to make it real, a designer to keep it whole. The thinking and the making never split, so the brand that comes out is coherent — and built to stand out without trying too hard.
